John Bennett

Ambassador

John’s career focused on the voluntary and public sector, encompassing local, national and international bodies. For the last twenty years he has been Chief Executive of Kent Wildlife Trust, a not-for-profit, membership-based, environmental charity, part of the national network of 47 independent Wildlife Trusts. It was in this capacity that John became involved with the MCT, through an Award presented annually to recognise some of the organisation’s 1000 volunteers.

John continues to draw on his experience of charity management as a Trustee in a social support charity and he continues to pursue his interests in environmental protection. As such, since becoming an Ambassador for the MCT in 2018, he presented the Marsh Marjan Award which promotes those who carry out conservation work in regions of conflict.
