British Trust for Ornithology
The British Trust for Ornithology (BTO) works to investigate, promote and protect birds and other wildlife by monitoring change in populations and behaviours, and informing the public and environmental policy-makers.
The BTO employs both professional and citizen science in its work. The combination of professional ecologists, long-term datasets, some of which exceed 50 years, and the more than 40,000 volunteer birdwatchers, participating in data gathering all over the country, gives the BTO a unique, impartial and knowledgeable voice in nature conservation.
By working with the BTO we are able to celebrate the efforts of both professionals and volunteers working together to conserve our natural habitat.
