Dogs for Good

Dogs for Good is a UK-based charity training dogs to help adults and children with physical disabilities and learning disabilities, children with autism and adults with dementia, as well as individuals living with a number of other conditions. They are based in Banbury in Oxfordshire but operate all over the country, with plans in place to reach more of the UK in years to come.

There are three main areas of their work, which include:

Assistance Dogs – a dog is paired with an individual in need to work on a one-to-one basis supporting them through the condition that they live with.

Community Dogs – handlers work with dogs based within the local community which are available to assist those in need, through referrals and working in schools or assisted-living facilities.

Family Dogs – trainers help families with a child who is autistic to get the most out of their pet dog, through training to help the dog further support the child in need.
