National Historic Ships UK

National Historic Ships UK is a government funded, independent organisation which gives objective advice to UK governments and local authorities, funding bodies, and the historic ships sector on all matters relating to historic vessels in the UK.

National Historic Ships holds details of more than 1,300 historic vessels in the UK and 87 overseas historic vessels linked to the UK, in need of conservation and preservation.

Historic vessels are an important part of our heritage and their significance has often been overlooked. These Awards are a way of celebrating those working in a voluntary capacity to highlight the importance of keeping historic vessels alive, for the benefit of the public and our heritage.
