Church Recording Society

The Church Recording Society is the national body for Church Recording Groups producing Church Records for national and local archives and legitimate users. The Church Recording Society provides resources for the Church Recording Groups, which are located throughout the UK and the Isle of Man. It liaises with organisations having a common interest in the artefacts within churches.

The Church Recording Society was formed in 2021 by the Church Recorders themselves to take over being the national society for the church recording project. Most Church Recording Groups have been a volunteering activity of one of the UK wide decorative and fine arts societies affiliated to The Arts Society.
